June 20, 2004 - Svolvaer to Bergen, Norway

Having stayed up for the midnight sun again, we decided to sleep in and have a liesurely breakfast in the hotel.  After that, we went on a walking tour of the town, which proved to be much larger and more interesting than we had imagined.  We had expected to see a lot of rustic fisherman cabins, but the town was much more modern than that.  Here's a quick view of Svolvaer on a Sunday morning, with virtually no one up and about.

Following our liesurely stroll through Svolvaer, we began the day's main activity: getting from Svolvaer to Bergen on three flights with four stops but only two aircraft.  (Go figure.)  It's not our favorite way to spend the day, and most of the flights were full, but it did provide an opportunity for me to take some aerial photos of this amazing country.
